At AmigoReal, we breed only when we believe a carefully planned pairing will preserve and strengthen the qualities we value in the Chihuahua. As a result, puppies are not always available, and there may be periods where no litters are planned.

Rather than breeding to meet demand, every litter is carefully considered with health, temperament, breed type, and the long-term welfare of our dogs at the centre of every decision.

Breeding plans can change, and we will always place the health and wellbeing of our dogs ahead of maintaining a breeding schedule.

Rather than publishing tentative breeding plans on our website, confirmed planned matings are published through our Breed Archive profile once final breeding decisions have been made.

This allows prospective owners to explore the planned pedigree, health screening, and estimated Coefficient of Inbreeding (COI), providing greater transparency into the planning behind each future litter.

At AmigoReal, we no longer operate a formal waiting list or accept deposits before puppies are available.

Over the years, we've found that circumstances can change for both breeder and prospective owners. Planned matings may not proceed, litter sizes can be smaller than expected, and the puppy that seems like the right fit today may not be the right fit once the litter has arrived.

Instead, we encourage prospective owners to register their interest and keep in touch. Once puppies have arrived and we begin assessing their individual personalities and development, we can have meaningful conversations about which home is the best match for each puppy.

We do not allocate puppies on a first-come, first-served basis. Every placement is carefully considered to ensure each puppy is matched with the home best suited to its individual temperament and the prospective owner's lifestyle.

This approach gives everyone the flexibility to make decisions at the right time, without the pressure or obligation that can come with waiting lists or deposits. Most importantly, it allows us to focus on finding the right home for each individual puppy.
